Matthew Alcalde, Vice President, Life Sciences and Healthcare, Coda Staffing, LLC, brings more than 10 years of experience in talent recruitment, business development and career coaching. Prior to joining Coda Staffing, Matt served as the Managing Director at Adecco Medical and Science and led sales and recruitment for medical and biotechnology staffing in the US.
Other previous experience includes leading Talent Acquisition Services at BioNJ, an industry association for NJ-based biotech and pharmaceutical companies. He has worked closely with local, state and federal agencies for workforce and economic development. Matt also managed a Rutgers University biomedical fellowship program, which recruited doctoral candidates and prepared them for careers in the biotechnology and healthcare sectors.
Matt earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ. His strong background in science coupled with his passion for helping people drives him to pair the right professionals with the right roles resulting in long-term successful and rewarding careers. He has served as a motivational speaker at industry events.
Outside of the office, Matt enjoys spending time with his wife, Cathy, and their 5-year-old son Jack, as well as gardening, hiking and reading.
