Roni has been with Jewish Family Services of Middlesex County for the past 10 years, the last 5 as Executive Director. Previously, she served as Director of Career and Women’s Center services for JFS, working with women who lost a partner and are trying to become self-sufficient through development of technical, job and life skills. Now she oversees all JFS programs including Mental Health Counseling, Immigration and Citizenship, Food Pantries, Senior Nutrition Programs, Volunteer Services and more, all of which serve community members in need regardless of religion, race, gender or ethnic orientation. Having started with JFS as a volunteer serving meals to seniors in the congregate meal program, Roni encourages volunteerism at all levels, knowing that it feels as good giving help as receiving it.
Before JFS, Roni worked for nonprofit organizations in NJ focused on training, research and legal services. She worked in marketing, human resources, training and employment services for small and large companies. A true Jersey girl, she currently lives in East Brunswick with her husband, 1 rescue dog and 4 rescue cats (mama and babies found in the backyard!). Roni grew up in North Brunswick and graduated from Rutgers University. In her spare time (hah!), she likes to bake, read, walk and work with the local stray cat rescue.
