Margaret Gurowitz is Manager, Historian and Heritage Communication at Johnson & Johnson, and is responsible for bringing to life the heritage of Johnson & Johnson for employees and the public and connecting it with the work the company does today, to educate, engage and inspire.
As company historian, Margaret researches and tells stories that illustrate the heritage of innovation and caring at Johnson & Johnson from the past to the present. She manages and maintains the museum’s archives and curates exhibits in our museum, Johnson & Johnson Our Story at The Powerhouse, located on the company’s World Headquarters campus in New Brunswick, N.J.
Margaret collaborates with internal partners, external organizations, and museums to build engagement through researching, telling and curating stories anchored in the company’s heritage, partnering with stakeholders across the company, and building partnerships with external stakeholders – including public and private museums, historians and educators. Margaret earned a B.A. in history and a certificate in interdisciplinary medieval studies from Douglass College and an M.A. in history from Rutgers University.
