Lindsay is the Director of the Arts Institute of Middlesex County in New Brunswick, NJ, where she and her dynamic team leverage arts, history, and cultural resources to support creative, equitable, and healthy communities throughout Middlesex County. She believes that the arts are foundational to society and as such, diverse experiences are essential to quality of life. Prior to this position, Lindsay served as the Executive Director for Central Jersey Arts Council, a nonprofit community arts organization based out of Carteret, NJ. She also worked as an administrator for Studio In A School in collaboration with artists, the government, the public education system, and arts institutions to provide rich arts experiences to those most in need throughout New York City. Lindsay has enjoyed time in the classroom as a public school arts educator and museum educator in Boston, MA and Detroit, MI. Lindsay holds a B.F.A. from the University of Michigan in Painting and Printmaking and a M.F.A. in Studio Teaching from Boston University. In her free time, Lindsay creates artwork in collaboration with her two “studio mates,” ages 10 and 8.
