Montclair Hospitality Group is pleased to announce the launch of the seventh location of Ani Ramen House, its popular ramen concept, in the heart of New Brunswick, NJ (37 Easton Avenue/732-317-8200). The New Brunswick location is a 2,200 square-foot full-service restaurant with 65-seat indoor capacity (12 bar seats) and 10-seat outdoor dining for dinner daily, with to-go, delivery and lunch options to follow in July 2021. The restaurant will serve its signature craft ramen featuring custom made noodles from Sun Noodle, tempting, flavorful proteins, and a variety of extras to customize your ramen, including Ani’s “umami bomb”. The menu also offers delicious appetizers for sharing: bao buns, kurobuta sausage, chili charred edamame, chicken karaage, and crispy miso sake chicken wings.
This location will feature the robust beverage program of Japanese spirits that has found favor at Ani Ramen Jersey City, including 35+ whiskies, sake and more. Creative draft and handcrafted cocktails will showcase various Japanese and Asian ingredients such as yuzu and shiso, to be found in house favorites, more specifically the Sailor Moon, Moshi Moshi, Ani Lychee-tini, Yuzu Sake Freeze, Samurai Old-Fashioned, and Shiso Cucumber Sour. Ani Ramen House boasts one of the largest selections of Japanese whiskies in the US: an impressive collection of some of the rarest expressions from Suntory and Nikka with blends and single malts up to 25 years old. Ani has made navigating through their vast array of Japanese Whisky offerings easier, more fun and educational via their own “Whisky Bible.” Look forward to regular monthly Japanese spirit tasting events that will spotlight special pairings and blending methods.
The New Brunswick restaurant joins Ani Ramen’s other award-winning, full-service locations in Montclair, Jersey City, Summit, Maplewood, Cranford and the quick-service location at District Kitchen inside Harborside Atrium in Jersey City. Ani Ramen’s straightforward Japanese design is created by pixelexperience, with custom, 50’ by 13’ mural artwork courtesy of acclaimed artist and proud Rutgers alumnus Rich Tu, who says, “the imagery on Ani walls is inspired by good energy, good food, and the strength of the Family”.
Founding Partner Luck Sarabhayavanija says, “We’re thrilled to be a part of the New Brunswick community, and we’re grateful for our customers’ support that brought us here.” In addition to further expansion in New Jersey, the team is also planning to bring Ani Ramen to New York, with locations in Manhattan (Brookfield Place), and Larchmont and Tarrytown in Westchester.
