Members Got The Chance To Meet Their Mayor at “Meet The Mayors Part III”

It was yet another terrific opportunity for members to get to know their mayors at the “Meet The Mayors, Part III” event, held May 17 at the Thomas J. Deverin Community Center in Carteret.

Mayor Daniel Reiman of Carteret and Mayor Wilda Diaz of Perth Amboy addressed such topics as arts & culture, travel & tourism, going green/sustainability, and economic development.

Mayor Diaz talked about the importance of the business community in her community, and how leaders come together to promote Perth Amboy and the county. Mayor Diaz also stressed the need for a strong, dedicated team to help implement many of the business development projects that originate in the mayor’s office.

Mayor Reiman agreed about the importance of supporting the local business community, talking proudly about many new and exciting plans in Carteret’s business district and along the waterfront.
 

Bert Baron, talk show host for WCTC-AM in New Brunswick, was the moderator of this year’s event.  The Chamber thanks Baron for his ongoing support of our programming.
