Ruth Garcis has nearly 20 years of experience in healthcare/medical billing and service. She was quick to realize that there’s a need for quality Revenue Cycle Management in healthcare. She followed her dream 18 months ago, founding Lightspeed RCM.
“My goal is to help private healthcare organizations and practices remain in private practice,” Ruth said. “We take care of all of the back-end office management. I personally believe in quality patient care, and that private practices have autonomy to treat patients based on patient need, not the ‘numbers’ dictated by Administrators.”
Ruth joined the Middlesex County Regional Chamber of Commerce in September of 2018. She already feels like a part of the Chamber family.
“The MCRCC is an advocate for Lightspeed RCM,” Ruth said. “It has been an amazing partnership. The Chamber helps me promote my business, provide a platform for me to further educate other businesses about Lightspeed RCM and has helped me network with other local businesses.”
Ruth said her team has learned plenty during their short stint with the organization.
“It’s an excellent source for business-to-business networking opportunities,” she said. “The Chamber also provides opportunities for personal growth with groups like ‘Women in Business.'”
One of Ruth’s favorite and must memorable moment within the Chamber occurred at the Women’s Leadership Summit this past October.
“The summit featured ‘Inspirational Women in Business,'” Ruth said. “These women shared their personal and professional successes as well as challenges. Their challenges hit a special place in my heart. They were so honest with the audience and I instantly felt like I could relate to them. The experience altogether was truly uplifting. I cannot wait for next year’s summit!”
