During their annual College Scholarship application period, Financial Resources Federal Credit Union received such high-quality submissions that three candidates were selected. Each scholarship winner received $1,000 to use toward their upcoming college costs.
The three graduating seniors who won the awards are Chloe Tue of Warren, New Jersey attending Stevens Institute of Technology, Madison Esser of Somerset, New Jersey attending North Carolina A & T, and Camille Jean of Bridgewater, New Jersey attending Georgetown University.
Each year, Financial Resources receives applications from candidates who will be heading to college in the fall. Potential winners are scored on a number of criteria including community service involvement, academic achievement, teacher references, extra-curricular activities and overall application quality.
Financial Resources is committed to the communities we serve. We help our members reach their financial goals and hope that these students will continue to be an integral part of their communities through their college careers and beyond.
Frank Almeida, President and CEO of Financial Resources Federal Credit Union and Chairperson of the Foundation presented the checks to local students. He noted, “We love giving out these scholarships. Each winner is an excellent student and, more importantly, is highly involved in community service. We are recognizing young adults who will make an impact during and after their college career.”
