You can definitely say this year’s theme “We Can Make a Difference” stood out to many members who wanted to make an impact at this year’s Emerging Leaders Summit. This year’s summit was held at the Heldrich Hotel & Conference Center in downtown New Brunswick March 7.
The program featured keynote speaker Dr. Carol Ash, Chief Medical Officer of Robert Wood Johnson, RWJUH-Rahway, a panel discussion that focused on the journey of an “Emerging Leader” as well as roundtable discussions.
The focus was for members to get more involved in their community while combining their passion with their day-to-day activities.
Dr. Carol Ash talks about her mentors throughout the years.
Members were fully entertained and engaged by moderator Gabriel Lavigne, Financial Advisor from UBS Financial Services, as well as the esteemed panelists: Tracey O’Reggio Clark, Interim Executive Director from New Brunswick Cultural Center; Steven Rampolla, Head of Finance from Bristol-Myers Squibb and Chris Tsombanos, Director/Enterprise Accounts of Advantage Communications Group.
The Emerging Leaders Summit provided, and will continue to provide, professional and personal development for beginning to mid-career professionals and help current leaders cultivate and mentor tomorrow’s leaders.
Gabe Lavigne asks panelists questions on their morning routine.
“This year’s Emerging Leaders Summit was thought-provoking and inspirational,” said Lavigne, the moderator. “That’s exactly what we were going for. It is a summit for both personal and professional development. I want to thank our keynote and panelists because these are people who lead by example every day; they empower their teams while engaging with the community. It’s a quality we all should strive to have.”
“This year’s summit was another success,” said Lina Llona, President of the MCRCC. “We really do have the best members and it shows when an event like this is put together and turns out just simply wonderful.”
Members also enjoyed lunch, and later a networking happy hour, which was sponsored and prepared by our friends at the Heldrich.
