Want to give back to Middlesex County? At the same time, do you want to connect with like-minded individuals? Contact us if you are interested in joining a committee. There are many to choose from:
Ambassadors
Supports membership by welcoming and guiding new members that join the chamber to help them get the most out of their chamber experience and quickly become involved to achieve their objectives. Committee members also focus on retention of existing members by reaching out at least once a year to solicit feedback on their chamber experience and listen to ideas on how we can improve.
Business & Education
Seeks to create and foster mutual understanding of the needs of local businesses in order to educate people on how to meet business expectations. An “Educators Institute” is held each summer for local teachers to promote cross content workforce standards.
Networking Events
Facilitates two very popular month “meet and greet” networking events with different venues. “Business after Hours” is generally conducted from 5:30-7:30 PM and “Good Morning Middlesex” is from 7:45-9:15 AM at different locations around Middlesex County. Both functions include various themes such as Speed Networking, Card Exchange or Guess the Best. These events may also be conducted with other local chambers to maximize networking contacts.
Annual Golf Classic
For more than 60 years this committee has organized one of the premier golf gatherings in Central New Jersey, where players from some of New Jersey’s major companies to small businesses come together for one day of golf capped off by an awards ceremony with food, beverage and networking.
Human Resources Council
Presents and discusses issues such as sexual harassment, awareness training, pre-employment screening by third party firms, recruitment and retention, work/family balance, managed care, health insurance and other important issues.
Largest Networking Party
Organizes and facilitates the MCRCC’s Largest Network Party which typically draws nearly 2000 attendees, sponsors, exhibitors, entertainers and restaurants at an outdoor venue in New Brunswick. In addition to being a tremendous networking platform, this event includes door prizes, and sampling of gourmet cuisine from the area’s finest restaurants.
Middlesex County Chamber Gala
Nominates and recognizes various members for their remarkable achievements and dedication in their professional and personal accomplishments at an annual awards dinner. We also select one corporate nominee who is recognized for their Excellence in Leadership.
New Membership
Focuses on fostering growth of the chamber membership by identifying business people and organizations that would benefit from expanding business relationships and support, through the chamber.
Women in Business
Coordinates the annual Women’s Leadership Summit which is a full-day event focusing on the key personal and professional issues important to business women. The event includes round table discussions on various topics, breakout training sessions and speeches by top women business leaders.
Young Professionals
Fosters participation of the “Leaders of the Future” by increasing opportunities for young professionals in Middlesex County. We provide a forum for networking, continuing education, professional growth, development of leadership skills and access to the professional community.
Hispanic Business Council
The Council’s mission is to develop networking opportunities for area businesses where they can learn more about each other’s business, and discover new partners that will help them gain access to the growing Latino market.
Convention & Visitors Bureau
Promotes the cultural, historical, educational and recreational businesses of the region by supporting tourism in our area. This committee also hosts the annual Chocolate’s Very Best event.
